Shaking Out The Ship

Recently, much progress was made in preparing the Half Moon for our upcoming Shakedown Voyage from Verplanck to Athens. Over the past few days, the gun port covers were put in place, the generator and the engine were started and the tarps were taken down.

With any shakedown voyage, there was a lot of rummaging an organizing too on both the orlop deck and the weather deck. Next we a small crew will head to Verplanck on Wednesday with others arriving on Thursday and the greater of the crew on Friday. If everyone is on the ship by Friday afternoon, the ship may leave the dock an anchor to save time for the trip up the river to Athens over the weekend.

Check back soon for more updates.
